Riverfront Downtown on the Cotee

New Port Richey is a city in western Pasco County along the Pithlachascotee River, known locally as the Cotee, near the Gulf of Mexico. Incorporated in 1924, it centers on Sims Park, a riverfront park with an amphitheater donated to the city. The downtown includes the historic Meighan Theater and Cavalaire Square, and U.S. 19 runs through the city. Housing includes historic bungalows, riverfront homes, established neighborhoods, townhomes and condominiums.
