Dunedin lies on St. Joseph Sound in northern Pinellas County, six miles north of downtown Clearwater. Named for the Scottish Gaelic name of Edinburgh, it keeps open views of the Intracoastal Waterway along Edgewater Drive south of downtown. The Dunedin Causeway leads to Honeymoon Island State Park, with Caladesi Island State Park reachable nearby, and the downtown sits just north of that waterfront drive. Housing includes historic cottages, waterfront homes, established neighborhoods, townhomes and condominiums.
