Belleair

Historic Resort Town With Nolen-Designed Estates

Belleair is a town in Pinellas County just south of Clearwater, near Clearwater Harbor. It traces its origins to 1896, when railroad developer Henry B. Plant built the Belleview Hotel here, and it was incorporated in 1925. Landscape architect John Nolen designed the Belleair Estates neighborhood during the Florida land boom, and the old Belleair Town Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Housing includes historic estates, golf course homes, established neighborhoods and condominiums.
