Safety Harbor

Mineral Springs Town on Old Tampa Bay

Safety Harbor sits on the west shore of Old Tampa Bay in Pinellas County, between Clearwater and Oldsmar. Settled in 1823 by Count Odet Philippe, credited with introducing grapefruit to Florida, it was incorporated in 1917. The city is home to the historic Espiritu Santo Springs, and nearby Philippe Park preserves a Tocobaga ceremonial mound. Housing includes historic cottages, bayfront homes, established neighborhoods, townhomes and condominiums.
