Temple Terrace sits in northeastern Hillsborough County beside Tampa, along the Hillsborough River. Incorporated in 1925, it was planned as one of the first Mediterranean Revival golf course communities in the United States and is named for the Temple orange once grown here in quantity. The city is a Tree City USA known for rolling terrain, river views and sand live oaks, and Riverhills Park sits on the riverbank. Housing includes Mediterranean Revival homes, ranch houses, riverfront properties, townhomes and apartments.
