Pinellas Park is the fourth-largest city in Pinellas County, located in the center of the peninsula between St. Petersburg and Largo. Founded by publisher F. A. Davis around 1911 and incorporated in 1914, it began as a farming settlement and grew rapidly after World War II. The city hosts annual events at its bandshell behind City Hall, including Country in the Park, and maintains a 500-seat Performing Arts Center. Housing includes ranch homes, established neighborhoods, manufactured-home communities, townhomes and apartments.
