Artsy Bayfront Town With a Historic Ballroom

Gulfport borders St. Petersburg, South Pasadena and Boca Ciega Bay in southern Pinellas County. First settled in 1868 and known by several names, it was incorporated as Gulfport in 1910. The historic Gulfport Casino ballroom stands on the bayfront, and the waterfront district along Beach Boulevard has art galleries, the Catherine Hickman Theater and a city marina beside Clam Bayou Nature Park. Housing includes historic cottages, waterfront homes, established neighborhoods and condominiums.
