Set along the east bank of the St. Johns River, Fruit Cove is an unincorporated community in northwest St. Johns County with a wooded, waterside feel. Julington Creek Plantation Park offers a fishing pier and pavilion, and Alpine Groves Park nearby preserves a historic riverfront homestead. State Road 13 follows the river toward Jacksonville and the Shands Bridge area. Homes include riverfront estates, golf course neighborhoods and established subdivisions on tree-lined streets.
