Nicholson is a small city in eastern Jackson County along U.S. Route 441, about seven miles south of Commerce and twelve miles north of Athens. Incorporated in 1907, it is known locally for its annual Daisy Festival. State Route 335 connects west to Jefferson, the county seat. Homes in and around Nicholson include established single-family homes, newer subdivisions, manufactured homes and properties on rural acreage.
