Midway between Atlanta and Augusta on I-20, Greene County offers historic small towns and shoreline on Lake Oconee. Greensboro, the county seat, features a historic downtown and the Old Greene County Gaol, built about 1807. Union Point, Siloam, White Plains and Woodville keep a quiet rural pace, and the Iron Horse sculpture stands along GA-15. Homes range from historic in-town houses to lake properties, golf communities and farmland.
