Crystal River is a city in Citrus County on the northeast side of Kings Bay and the Crystal River, an inlet of the Gulf of Mexico. A cluster of about 50 springs feeds Kings Bay, keeping the water near 72 degrees year-round. Crystal River Archaeological State Park lies on the city's northwest side, and Crystal River Preserve State Park is nearby. Housing includes waterfront homes on canals and the bay, established neighborhoods, newer subdivisions and condominiums.
