Bogart

Rail-Rooted Small City With Wooded Acreage

Bogart is a small city located mostly in Oconee County, with a small portion in Clarke County, west of Athens. Originally called Osceola, the town took its current name in 1892 and grew up along the railroad between Athens and Atlanta. U.S. Route 78 and nearby GA-316 provide quick access to Athens, Winder and metro Atlanta. Homes include older in-town houses, newer subdivisions and properties on wooded acreage.
