East of Ocala on State Road 40, Silver Springs is an unincorporated community centered on one of Florida's best-known natural attractions. Silver Springs State Park offers glass-bottom boat tours, kayaking on the Silver River and shaded trails, and the Ocala National Forest begins a short drive east.
