North of Dunnellon, Rainbow Springs is an unincorporated community in southwest Marion County named for the headspring of the Rainbow River. Rainbow Springs State Park offers swimming, paddling, gardens and waterfalls, and tubing launches sit just downstream. US 41 connects residents to Dunnellon and Ocala. Housing includes single-family homes on wooded lots, golf-course properties, manufactured homes and vacant land for building.
