Hillsborough County lies on the west-central Gulf Coast at the head of Tampa Bay and is the fourth-most populous county in Florida. Tampa is the county seat and largest city, with Plant City and Temple Terrace as its other incorporated cities. The Hillsborough River flows from Hillsborough River State Park through Temple Terrace to downtown Tampa, and Plant City hosts the annual Florida Strawberry Festival. Housing includes historic districts, waterfront homes, established suburbs, newer master-planned communities, condominiums and rural acreage.
